What are you putting off?

I decided to start a meetup group here in Toronto, I've been putting off being a leader all my life! My idea is to start and lead a local movement about creating powerful loving and helping DevMentor.org communities where people can come together to learn and develop, to share and mentor each other. I also decided to up the Ante and use my group to learn on my feet (talk about scary) on what works and then try to create other such local DevMentor.org communities and start a movement to transform the world where people feel empowered by knowledge and enjoy learning and helping others by sharing and mentoring. I've never led a group before or tried to start a movement, but I am done putting this off!

My Toronto DevMentor.org group and others like it will always be free to join and I will make it so that no one is ever asked to pay money. The groups will be powered by loving people, so the communities will have to learn to self organize when the idea takes off. I am just one person trying to get the ball rolling to “Do Good” in this world. This possibility will be realized not be me but by many others.

What keeps me going is the love, the love to see this realized and to help people and see them “Do Good”. It’s tough getting sponsors to believe in you, or even stop and listen to you. However I got to keep plugging away. I still need to find a place to hold our meetups so we can have power and wifi internet connection. Again I can’t put this process off, so I will keep going at this till someone says Yes.

I have been putting off writing a product for sales people. I actually just started writing it this morning finally!
